Motorola Droid 4 Review

Before all of us discussion your Motorola Droid 4 there’s a little bit of other news we have to handle right quick. Because you’ll surely observe, we’re performing smartphone testimonials a little differently currently. Nevertheless, this movie as well as the basic hands-on opinions are just the first in a three-part series critiquing the phone. Stay tuned for what comes next!

Ok then, returning to business…

The actual Motorola Droid 4 has spent precisely 24 hours on racks, as well as from the time I’ve spent using the cell phone I wouldn’t become surprised to hear that it’s performing quite well there.

In the event you keep up with cell phones you know that the actual Droid 4 is a big deal, the fourth in Motorola’s Droid brand (which happens to be one of the most profitable Android brand names we’ve found in order to date), as well as a QWERTY-packing beast if I may say so. The thing about it, however, is that the keyboard (any actual physical keyboard) is becoming less and less required.

To be clear, I think that the Droid 4 keyboard is perhaps one of the best I’ve ever used. It gives a good tactile feedback and is fairly easy in order to browse. The fact that it’s backlit only adds to the infatuation. But… a combination of great auto-correct as well as Swype nearly can make that keyboard ineffective.

I understand that back in the day inputting on a touchscreen was super irritating, since the auto-correct wasn’t really up to snuff. That’s not necessarily the case any longer, and I almost feel like anyone who demands on an actual physical QWERTY is doing so due to the fact they’re so used to it.

Truth be told the actual changeover can be tough from QWERTY in order to smooth take a moment, but Swype can make that changeover much easier as well as you’ll ultimately become much faster in the inputting department.

Even now, for those of you who need QWERTY-style satisfaction, I can’t recommend a better handset than the Droid 4. The actual 4-inch display screen words of flattery the size as well as weight of the cell phone perfectly, and yes it honestly doesn’t feel that much smaller than the 4. 3-inch Razr display.

Watching movies as well as playing games continues to be just as great, when it comes to size, but it only made me feel “eh” when it comes to quality. Sure, it’s a good deal bright as well as pixel-dense, but it doesn’t have the wow factor of these 720p displays we’re seeing lately.

I didn’t experience any severe issues with the phone when it comes to performance, and yes it would seem that 1GB connected with RAM combined with that 1. 2GHz dual-core processor can handle basic duties as well as multitasking just fine. At the same time, I’ve only spent about 24 hours by using it, so stuff may adjust having weightier screening.

As you can see in the video, the Motorola Droid 4 looks much more like the Razr or Razr Maxx than it does its other Droid family members. I almost wish that Kevlar fiber casing was along for the ride, too, but that might ruin one of the best things about the Droid 4: its $199.99 price tag from Verizon.

We’ll become striking you actually with more for the Droid 4 since the week progresses, so stay tuned for the rest of our own review.

Observe: I mistakenly stated in the video that the Droid 4 runs Android 2 . 3. 5 Gingerbread, when it in fact runs Android 2. 3. 6. The sorry.

  1. Let's say I thought Motorola could commando-ize it, give it a larger
battery, NFC, and a more secure slider "click" to lock, and this baby
would dominate. Would you call me Savvy?
